I apologize for spamming you guys with images from our One Room Challenge reveal, but so much love went into that room over the last month and a half and I can’t help but share all the details! (On the off chance that you haven’t seen the room yet, you can take a look at the reveal here!)
Picking out the furniture was a huge decision in this room! When I was searching, I really wanted to find pieces that were simple and minimalistic. If you guys aren’t familiar with Article, that is what they do best! All their pieces have clean lines, beautiful fabrics and and simple silhouettes, and worked so well for both the sofa and armchairs in our living room!
They are an online only store which allows them to sell their products at a really fair price! I do know how ordering online can sometimes be a bit nerve racking. We’ve all had it where we order something and it arrives different from what we were expecting. When ordering furniture, this can be even more daunting because theres no way to see from an image if it will be comfortable to sit in. Article really gives piece of mind by delivering their furniture directly to your door (including Canadian addresses! Yay!) for a flat shipping fee of $49, and offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee so you can try out the piece in your home. If your not completely happy with it, they pick it up and refund the product. This really took all the stress out of it and made me feel comfortable to order their products and see how I would like it in the space!
For our living room, my starting off point for the design was a white sofa. I’ve really wanted one for a while now, but with 3 little kids knew it wouldn’t be a good idea! Now that we have a formal living room in this home I was more confident I could make it work, and was so excited to get the Triplo sofa from Article. It is a light, almost white, tweed fabric that has a lot of texture to it, and I love that the clean lines work as simple backdrop for all the textiles and patterns! The combination of it being placed opposite the window, and its down-filled cushions makes it my favourite spot in the room to sit!
As soon as I saw their Burrard armchair, it was love at first sight! The light grey fabric is such a soft and pretty contrast against the warmer tones that I used in the room, and I loved that it was a mid-century style with tapered wood legs. The deep seat with down-filled cushions also makes it ridiculously comfortable!
I am beyond happy with both of these products, and am already eyeing some of their other pieces to incorporate in the rest of our house, including this beautiful dining table!
