Our Office Room Refresh Featuring CANVAS

I’m so excited to finally be sharing our home office with you guys! Our space started out really uninspiring and wasn’t somewhere I loved working. The white walls, tongue and groove ceiling and light fixture were a good base, but overall the space wasn’t functional. We were lacking storage and desk space and did not have a ton of room to work with. That’s when Canadian Tire came in with their fall/winter CANVAS Living Collection to spruce up the space.

We reworked the layout to fit two CANVAS Walker Dining tables which almost doubled our desk space. I love how much room it gives me to layout samples and assemble presentation packages with the Canvas Galvanized Trays! We also incorporated the Canvas Florence rug. It was the perfect size for the room, and adds just enough pattern.

Greenery is one of my favourite things to add in a room. After hours of searching, we decided on this kumquat tree. In a mostly neutral space it gives just a bit of colour!

Adding in two of the Canvas Axel metal cabinets really allowed us to make the most out of the small room and maximize storage space. I love that the doors can hide some of the not so pretty items below, and the glass doors gave me a place to style decorative pieces and artwork. I also incorporated the Canvas Harbour Basket, Cape Basket and Felt Baskets throughout the space to organize samples and office supplies.

I love a cozy space, and including a soft throw blanket just seemed like a no-brainer!

We hung artwork on picture wire from the Canvas Post Hook. I love the detail it adds and that it easily allows me to switch up the artwork without damaging the walls! Steve also built the pin board which gives us a place to post some images that are inspiring us, and organize papers.

Down the road we have plans to get a separate studio space for us to work from, but for now we love the convenience and flexibility an office at home gives us. This room refresh has made it a space that is functional and inspirations. I’m loving it!
