I’m not sure how this last week got away on me! We had a super busy week work wise with a project install and somehow we are already at Wednesday again. Linda reached out to us this past week to let us know that for the first time in the history of the ORC, the final reveal post is being granted the extension of one week! Due to the number of natural disasters in so many states leading up to, and during the ORC, many participants have had to endure unusual circumstances and because of this, we will be supporting eachother with a one week extension. Guest participants will also be granted an additional week. Finished rooms will be posted on Wednesday November 15th and guests on Thursday, November 16th!
Here is the current state of our living room. The drywall is done and just needs to be sanded and then is ready to be primed!! The paint came in from Farrow and Ball this past week. I went with their ALL WHITE for all the walls and trim. Its more white then I typically go with, but wanted it to feel really bright. I am so excited to see how it will look in the room!
Today Steve picked up the wall mouldings, trim and shiplap from Metrie. We have to wait till the builtins go in before we can put those up, but I can already see that they are going to look so good on the walls! I’ll share more details of what products we chose from Metrie once its installed.
All the furniture and accents are starting to arrive. We don’t have a ton of space to store everything, but I’ve managed to peek inside all the boxes as soon as something get delivered. I really want the final reveal to be a bit of a surprise, but am going to share some of the pieces that I am really excited about.
These are the lounge chairs I went with from Article, and they are so so beautiful in person! So far I think they are my favourite piece in the space!
I really want the space to have a casual feel, and decided to layer a rug over one of the Dash and Albert sisal area rugs. Ill wait till the room reveal to share what rug I’m layering it with!
It took a lot of searching to find a coffee table and side table, but as soon as I saw this one from the Mine I couldn’t get it out of my heard. I love how it is a more traditional look compared to some of the more modern pieces in the room!
I love incorporating floor lamps in a room, and especially love the simplicity of this one! The large shade will be subtle against the white walls, but will add really pretty texture!
Next week I will share some more progress photos and details on the wall mouldings! Remember to follow along with all the other design bloggers!
