The Butter Rd Project has been in the works for just under a year (if you haven’t seen the install video yet, you can watch it here!) and when I look back at the before photos, I can hardly believe the transformation! The space was an addition that the clients had added close to 10 years before, but had always struggled with the layout.
When taking on this project, we really wanted to brighten the space, and make the layout more functional. We started by replacing the flooring with a lighter White Oak, and removed the heavy window treatments.
We chose a navy tufted sectional to maximize seating. I love the classic look that it adds to the space, and how it contrast with some of the more modern pieces!
This custom built in was originally in the living room (which you will see in part II of the tour!). It was very unbalanced in that space, so we had it moved here, and refinished it in a chalk paint.
This x’s and o’s game is one of my favourite details in this room!
We incorporated this pink chair to give the room a more casual and fun feel!
We fell hard for this patterned navy and grey rug!
We made an extra little seating nook, and went with this rattan chairs, and woven side table for a very pretty but casual look.
The clients asked if we could work the ping pong table into the design, and I of course said yes! I love designing beautiful rooms, but more importantly spaces where a family will gather and bond!
This gold picture light, artwork and wall panelling really does make for the prettiest games room!
We replaced the patio doors with these custom arched pocked doors that lead into the sunroom.
We paired gold accents, with soft textures and a patterned table in the sunroom, and I love how everything works together!
