    Our Bedroom – ORC Reveal!

It’s reveal day!!! I’m so excited to be sitting down to write this post and finally share the finished images of our space. It’s been a crazy few weeks to get everything finished, but it’s so great to have this room all done. Before I dive into it, I just want to remind you what the before looked like.

    THE BEFORES

    THE BEDROOM AFTERS

And here is where we’ve ended up!

This rug was the backup, but I love it in the space, and would be totally fine if this was how it stayed!

I love the antique feel the night side tables add to the room.

Incase you haven’t followed along with us this challenge, we welcomed a little girl into our family at the beginning of May. Since we were working on redoing our room, I also was looking to find a bassinet that would be inline with our aesthetic and compliment the rest of the space. After hours of searching, I came across the Rockwell bassinet by Monte. They offer a selection of fabrics and two different finishes for the base to choose from. We went with the beech cover, and all white frame. I love how it looks in the space, and our little one has loved being rocked to sleep in it!

When I was designing this room, I wanted to incorporate pieces that would ground the room and give it some depth and texture. As much as I love a light and airy space, I always like to add in some contrast. As soon as I saw these table lamps from Hudson Valley Lighting, I knew they would be the perfect addition to the room. I love the shape of the base and the rough concrete texture it has. It looks almost like it could be an antique piece and gives the room a collected feel instead of looking like it all came from a big box store. The quality of this lamp is beautiful!

Window treatments are such a bit part of the design. Since our room doesn’t have high ceilings, I was looking for a rod that wouldn’t feel too heavy. In the past I’ve often used a 1″ rod, however this time I decided on a 3/4″ bent rod from Fabricut. I love how delicate it is, and the added detail of the return. For the drapery, I chose panels from Fabricut as well. They offer a really great selection of fabrics and colours. For our space, I chose their Pacific Linen in Oat, which is a really beautiful natural colour, and I cant wait to see them in the space!

    BEDROOM SOURCES

Trim and Door Colour – All White by Farrow and Ball

    THE WALK IN CLOSET AFTERS

This space is one that we are very excited about! Compared to our old closets, it’s really nice being able to easily see everything. On my side, I incorporated two of Emtek’s Traditional brass robe hooks. They provide additional hanging space, and also give me a spot to plan outfits. I love that they have each have two hooks that are fairly deep so they can easily hold several pieces. They come in a bunch of finishes as well. I decided on the unlaquered brass which will get a pretty patina over time.

    CLOSET SOURCES

Trim and Door Colour – All White by Farrow and Ball

Shiplap Wall Colour – Aged White by Farrow and Ball

    ENSUITE AFTERS

When deciding on plumbing fixtures for our ensuite, I was looking for pieces that felt classic. Build.com and Signature hardware provided a wide selection of styles and finishes that we were able to narrow down to ones that would fit with our concept. We were even able to source a toilet lever and brass drain from them which made even the smallest details a feature in this space! We were also able to get an unfinished oak vanity that allowed us to customize our own finish, and I love how it gives a bit of an antique feel to the room.

Last minute Steve was able to build this aged brass frame for the shower door, and it took it to a new level!

    ENSUITE SOURCES

Walls – Wevet by Farrow and Ball

Doors and Trim – All White by Farrow and Ball

Ceiling – Old White by Farrow and Ball

Thank you so much to Linda for inviting us back to this round of the One Room Challenge, and helping us finish another room in our home! And also such a huge thank you to Steve for working endless hours on this space, and making all my design ideas come to life!

I’m so glad you’ve followed to the end! Don’t forget to check out all the rooms by the featured participants and hundreds of guests participants!

Congratulations on your sweet little girl, and also, completing this beautiful renovation with a newborn. my goodness! I absolutely adore everything you’ve done. down to the details of the toilet lever. Also- you so casually threw in there “Last minute steve was able to build this door”- like what?! how does he build a door so beautiful?! I must learn more- I also want to learn how to weld now! Fabulous job. I’ve enjoyed following along.
