The Butter Rd Project has been in the works for just under a year (if you haven’t seen the install video yet, you can watch it here!) and when I look back at the before photos, I can hardly believe the transformation! The space was an addition that the clients had added close to 10 years before, but had always struggled with the layout. When taking on this project, we really wanted to brighten the space, and make the layout more functional. We started by replacing the flooring with a lighter White Oak, and removed the heavy window treatments. We chose a navy tufted sectional to maximize seating. I love the classic look that it adds to the space, and how it contrast… Read more »

Our Year in Review
2016 has been such an exciting year for our business and family! Thanks to so many wonderful clients, Steve was able to quite his job, and join me full time to help grow the business. With Wieske being my maiden name, we decided to change the business name from Wieske Design to Coco & Jack, after our two children. I love how personal it is for both of us! With our new business also came a new website and stationary designed by the lovely Ashley & Malone. We love how they captured our new brand, and they were such a pleasure to work with!! This past year, also included us moving from our downtown condo to a little house in… Read more »
Boxed Design Nursery Tour
We are so excited to share the full tour from one of our Boxed Design projects, and also have it featured today on Inspired By This! The clients were expecting their first baby, and wanted to change a bedroom in their home from a closet to a bright and pretty nursery. After filling out our questionnaire, sharing their ideas on pinterest, and sending us images and measurements of the existing space we got to work! The before images: Heres what we gave to them: 1. A FLOOR PLAN showing furniture and accessory placement 2. WALL ELEVATIONS with measurements showing the wall moulding design 3. DESIGN BOARD showing the products we sourced for the space to give an overall feel of what the space will look like 4. Numbered PRODUCT… Read more »
One Room Challenge – Room Reveal
I had way too much fun designing this room for my little boy, and am so happy with the ORC transformation over the last 6 weeks! My starting point for the design was an equestrian feel. I didn’t want it to be over powering, but loved the boyish combination of leather, shiplap and plaid! I also really wanted to personalize the space for him, and incorporate some of his favourite things. (If you haven’t seen the before images yet, you can view them here!) We were working down to the wire on installing the shiplap ceiling, but it was so worth it! I love the texture and character it adds to the space. We ended up going with 8″ MDF planks and installed… Read more »
