I almost wrote “Week Two” for the title of this blog post. How are we already halfway through this challenge?! It is flying by, and I cannot wait to see this room all done in 3 weeks! (If you haven’t yet read week ones post you can see all the design plans here!) I’m really excited with the progress we made this past week! We finished painting the walls, ceiling and trim. Part of me really wanted to paint the walls pink, but just couldn’t see it working with the rest of the design, so I opted to paint everything white. We went with Simply White by Benjamin Moore to keep it consistent with the trim and wall colour throughout most of our… Read more »

Butter Rd Project – Part 2
This project has been so long in the making, I could hardly remember how dark and beige the before was! The client had always struggled with balancing the space. When they furnished the room around 10 years before, they had this custom bookshelf installed on the one side of the fireplace. However, because it was so dark it really made that corner of the room very heavy. The beige on beige also left the room feeling flat. This allowed us a really great base to work with, and made balancing the offset fireplace much easier! Normally people want… Read more »
Niagara Office Tour
When a client is on board for an office space with brown leather sofas, navy chalkboard walls and a Smeg fridge, you can’t help but get excited! I loved the challenge of designing a masculine, sports inspired interior with industrial elements that didn’t feel overdone for Pro Church Tools new office space. The hanging rattan chairs, ping pong table and salvaged steel boardroom door keeps it far from traditional!
