I am so so excited to finally be sharing the full room reveal with you guys today!!!! It feels like so long ago that I started dreaming up ideas on how I planned to redo our once bland living room, and am glad I took all those before pictures to remember exactly what it looked like! Remember that door that made the room so hard to layout, and all that beige?!! I wasn’t sad to see either of them gone! And here is the finished product!! It really hardly looks like the same room! The only thing that is from the existing room is that vintage vent cover! I love the depth that the Metrie wall mouldings add to the… Read more »

One Room Challenge – Week Six
As much as I dread deadlines, I also really love them. Knowing that this room would be completely done by mid November has been the best feeling, and made the late nights so worth it! I was really hoping to make it out of concrete, but after looking into it more we decided it was too complicated for us to tackle, so we opted to build it out of wood. One Room Challenge – Week Five
You guys, the end finally feels like it’s in sight! We made so much progress this past week, and I am so so excited with how things are coming together. We ended up going with solid White Oak for the front of the shelves and frame, and went with White Oak plywood for the sides and shelves to save some cost. I was a bit worried you would be able to see we used two different products, but you can’t at all! I really love how simple they are, and how the white shiplap back gives it a casual feel. Now that the builtins are in,… Read more »
One Room Challenge – Week Four

Due to the number of natural disasters in so many states leading up to, and during the ORC, many participants have had to endure unusual circumstances and because of this, we will be supporting eachother with a one week extension. Guest participants will also be granted an additional week. Finished rooms will be posted… Read more »
One Room Challenge – Week Three
