We are nearing the end of this challenge, and I’m more then excited to see this boys bedroom come together! We’ve received a bunch of shipments over the last couple of days and are just waiting on some final items (fingers crossed they arrive in time!) By the way, I love how the floor turned out!! And the process was so much easier then I thought it would be. With just under a week to go, we have so many final details to complete (and are starting to feel the pressure!) Here’s is our checklist of what we hope to get done over the weekend: 1. Install and paint shiplap ceiling 2. Paint chalkboard wall 3. Paint trim 4. Replace… Read more »
The flooring went in this week, and we have started ordering all the furnishings for my sons bedroom. I’m dying to see them all together in the space! (If you missed my posts for weeks one and two for the One Room Challenge, you can read them here and here.) The room currently has a really plain flushmount, which will be replaced with this schoolhouse light fixture from Rejuvenation. Hoping I can find one in time that is the… Read more »
I can’t believe we are already a week into the ORC! (If you missed the post from week 1, you can see it here.) We have been busy over here demoing my sons bedroom and getting it ready for the new trim and hardwood. Yay!! The stain protects and colours the wood in a single layer, and has… Read more »
I am beyond excited to be participating as a guest designer in this years fall One Room Challenge! We moved into our new house just over a month ago, and I have a long list of design projects that I would love to check off. For this challenge, I was able to narrow it down to my sons bedroom. The space is really small and has a bit of an awkward layout, however after thinking it through I see so much potential! Below are some of the before images of the space, as well as a design board of my vision! Check in every Thursday to see the progress, and also follow the other design bloggers! … Read more »
I am so excited to finally be able to share my home tour, the Murray project! Being my own home, this project was obviously very near and dear to me. We moved into the 12oo sq ft condo in downtown Hamilton just under 3 years ago. Our unit was situated in a new glass level on an old historic building with a panoramic view of the bay.
