Looking back over the years, I can’t help but notice that there are some toys that our kids keep going back to, and others that hardly get a second glance. I’m sure this rings true in most households! Despite their great excitement when they receive the gifts, it quickly wears off over the next week or two. It’s made me want to be more intentional about what I pick out for them, and look for items that will be a go-to for them. I’ve put together a list of some toys that have been tried, tested, and true in our house, and some new gifts that I’ve thought up for this year.
MATCHING PJS
This was a gift that I often received for Christmas from my parents, and I love continuing the tradition. I remember always being excited to change into them and matching my siblings. I linked to some Plaid Hanna Andersson ones in my weekend blog post, and also came across these festive onesies!

WOOD BUILDING BLOCKS
Our kids got this set for Christmas last year, and to be honest, they were a little disappointed when they opened it. However, it’s been almost a year, and they still play with it almost every day. They are always so excited to take out all the pieces and build something new.

MONOGRAM MUG
Steve bought everyone a monogram mug last year, and our kids always request theirs when they drink hot chocolate. I think it makes them feel important knowing it’s personalized for them!

PEEK A BOO ELEPHANT
This was Floras Christmas gift last year, and the excitement still has not worn off for her! She drags it all over the house with her and still loves the songs and games it plays.

RECORD PLAYER
Our oldest daughter Coco is 6, and I spent a lot of time thinking about what she would enjoy over the next year. In my search I came across these vintage style record players. She used to have one of my old phones, and would love playing music on it, and I can just imagine her excitement to play different records in her room!

BRIO TRAIN SET
For Jack’s second birthday, I bought him some trains and wood tracks. Over the years I’ve been adding to the collection. The Brio collections have some really cool features that the kids have loved playing with.
