The flooring went in this week, and we have started ordering all the furnishings for my sons bedroom. I’m dying to see them all together in the space! The room currently has a really plain flushmount, which will be replaced with this schoolhouse light fixture from Rejuvenation. I love the vintage feel it has, and the combination of black metal and milk glass! I am also on the hunt for a vintage turkish rug. I had one picked out but sadly it sold before I could snag it up! One Room Challenge – Week Two
I can’t believe we are already a week into the ORC! (If you missed the post from week 1, you can see it here.) We have been busy over here demoing my sons bedroom and getting it ready for the new trim and hardwood. Yay!! I absolutely love the look of White Oak flooring with an oil finish and knew it was what I wanted to incorporate. There are so many beautiful pre finished floors to choose from, however to save some cost but not sacrifice the look, we decided to go with a 5″ unfinished White Oak plank and finish it in the Rubio 5% White stain. I am beyond excited to be participating as a guest designer in this years fall One Room Challenge!
