I am so excited to finally be able to share my home tour, the Murray project! Being my own home, this project was obviously very near and dear to me. We moved into the 12oo sq ft condo in downtown Hamilton just under 3 years ago. Our unit was situated in a new glass level on an old historic building with a panoramic view of the bay.
I loved having the opportunity to design this Parisian inspired cafe, and loved that the client wanted to go with more of an elegant style! The pretty details are so different from the industrial and rustic design that is usually seen in Hamilton.
The existing space had laminate floors and dated light fixtures. However, the exposed brick fireplaces and original decorative trim where the perfect base for the design.
I was really excited to work alongside the homeowners on the Waterdown home! When I was hired on, they already had the plans drawn up for the new addition, and such a great vision of what they were looking for. The one homeowner custom designs jewellery, and you can see her love for accessorizing throughout the space! When designing the great room, I really wanted it to be a place the family would love to relax in, and where they would enjoy hosting company.
